Mileage Factor

Early in the morning I'm moving on the rainy road. I stopped someware to park my byke, suddenly a stranger appeared infront of me, and asked "How much mileage are you getting?".
First I was confused about what to say! but I said that its my new byke so not getting much mileage. He said "Ok!", and again asked me "Are you getting 70 ?!!", I said "No!" and moved away from there. I saw some disappontment in his face, I knew that he feel so. But the fact is that my new byke is giving 45KMPL only. If I say so, he thinks that all that HH new rage bykes gives less mileage. I dont want give him such a low-pace impresson.

But even I have a low impression on my byke as the milege is very low; as it is new, I think it should at least give 50KMPL and it should increase to a better number after a set of services. But its ok now, I've to see how it performs after few months. It is 125cc byke and it may not give 70KMPL as told by the delar, but I expect at least 60KMPL with a good running speed. I like it coz, it runs faster on the roads, I feel good about it. The engine is not like other bykes you know!. As it has a new range engine, we no need to change the engine oil for 6000KMs. For other bykes it is only 2000KMs. And it has 2yrs of warrenty while others have only 1yr warrenty. So cool, right?! :-)

Note:-This post is according to indian bykes and road conditions only.

9/11 Effect - Remembrance

Everyone knows about the 9/11 incident and there are so many victims. I'm also one of them...! I don’t have a direct impact rather It was effected my career indirectly. It's just 15 days before I joined in a new company IIL, New Delhi, with a cool offer to fly to UK for a training program on Smiles CRM Product. I'm done with every thing including the visiting visa to UK. My self and my friend were so much excited to fly away in few days.(3 people were selected as a part of the program). The company had to fix a date to book the tickets, and we were asked to finish the shopping as well. So, with out any other thought, (as we don’t have much time) I finished the shopping by spending around 10K rupees of pocket money. It includes shoes, suits, and winter jackets, etc. etc...!

The other day we went to the office normally and checking our status, preparing required documents...bla...bla...bla.. Suddenly one of my colleagues turned our side and told the news about the attack on twin towers and it was totally blasted. He showed the photos & videos as well. It's really horrible news. As an instant effect so many countries stopped their air-services. I was thinking that, its ok I did not happen to UK, so I can fly....! But what happened is different. Due to that event the company in UK also put the program in pending, and giving no information on what to do. Within few days, I understood that the training program was canceled. I sticked the Delhi office itself. So, all doors were closed.......ooooooooooops!!!

After 1-2 months of handling a new project, I was requested to visit IIL-Hyde office where the actual development of the project took place. Since then I'm in Hyde till today, though I switched to different companies in my career path.

Ganapathi Bappa

'Ganesh Chaturthi' is one of the great and famous festival in India; Particularly in Mumbai , South Inida and specially in Hyderabad. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesh, son of Lord Shankar and Goddess Parvati. This festival comes on the 4th day of Bhadrapada Shukla-paksh of Hindu calender.

This year the movement is like that not to immerse the Idols in the Hussain-Sagar due to the pollution problems, but a final court decision makes all the devotees made happy that this time they can go ahed! The Ganesh Idols are made up of plaster of paris (POP) which remains in water up to 5 days harming the water in the sagar. So, groups are advised to make idols from traditional clay, which decomposes in two hours, instead of cheaper plaster of Paris.

Interestingly I've also seen some posters saying that to use the clay made idols, and not to use the coloured idols. This is really a good idea to make the people aware of the pollution due the idols. Also I have heard a news saying that most pople used caly made idols; this shows the public is also getting awareness on ganesh idols. I have also brought a clay made ganesh, wow! But the trick I applied was that the POP Idols costs high and the Idiol will be small, but you'll get a big clay idol with less price!! So, I opted to purchase the Bigger Ganesh! :-)

Finally, If I dont talk about Khairatabad-Ganesh, this article is not complete. This year the Huge Ganesh is about 40ft, while it was 45ft last year. The Idol so good this time, Made with 50 kg of butter. This picture you see here is the one setup this year!
