Riyo Mori - Miss Universe 2007

It's the time for this Miss Japan 2007 girl Riyo Mori - winner of Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico City, 28 May 2007 (this Monday).

I think all the US people enjoyed this show as monday is a holiday! Over 10,000 people attended this show, and a lot more enjoyed over TV channels. An estimated worldwide viewing audience of more than 1 billion in over 170 countries.

Miss Universer 2006 winner Zuleyka Rivera crowned Miss Riyo Mori. Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from 77 countries around the world competed in three categories: swimsuit; evening gown; and personality interview.

Riyo Mori, 20, the 56th winner of the title, was given her $250,000 (U.S.) diamond-and-pearl crown by last year's winner, Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico

She is a lifelong ballet dancer from a village near Mount Fuji, Mori wore a striking black gown with coloured lapels for the final. Winning surpassed the ambition of her grandmother, who told her as a child she wanted her to be Miss Japan one day. Her grandmother’s dream has come true. Riyo Mori is not only Miss Japan but also Miss Universe 2007 today.
